ABOUT US
Founded in 1998, the women's basketball team of the National University of Laos is one of the leading university sports teams in Laos. With the goal of developing young talent and enhancing professional playing skills, the team has continuously improved its tactics and physical fitness to compete in domestic and regional tournaments. The NUOL women's basketball team is known for its fast-paced, agile playstyle and excellent teamwork.
ACHIEVEMENTS
The NUOL women's basketball team has achieved remarkable milestones throughout its development. Champions of the Lao Student Basketball League for five consecutive years from 2015 to 2019. Silver medalists at the Southeast Asian University Basketball Championship in 2022, narrowly losing to Thailand’s strong team in the finals.Represented Laos in the Asian University Women's Basketball Tournament in 2023 and reached the quarter-finals. Several players from the team have been selected for the national team, contributing significantly to the development of women's basketball in Laos on the international stage.
